I think you should look into Leon County School Board's hiring of Temp. Agencies for Temp. employees to perform maintenance and re-roofing on all of the county schools by uncertified and inexperienced labor, which may be illegal and will definitely cost the tax payers more money when these roof systems fail. There will be no manufacturers or labor warranties for the work performed, as you would with licensed and insured contractors. The state of Florida requires all roofers to be licensed. The schools are licensed only for maintenance, not whole new roof systems. This was only supposed to be temporary 3 month maintenance program that has gone on for more than a year now. Please feel free to contact me at 519-3367 if you would like to discuss further.

I have begun blogging about area crime in Tallahassee. I post about burglaries, thefts, domestics, you name it...in detail, while withholding personal names of victims, all the politically correct stuff. I would love for my blog to linked to your site so that we may inform Tallahassee on many fronts. What makes my info good is that I am a local law enforcement officer. I have insider info and credibility.Take a look and see what you think. I would love to exchange links.

Who was the woman that went with the good Mayor on this trip???

Wonder if the Mayor's wife had any problem with this??

What did this tandem of political experts glean from this trip??

Interesting website. Seems a bit "agenda-ed" though to be classified as research and reporting which implies that it should be without bias.

As for the borrowed blue sculpture mentioned in "So Sad About All The Waste", it did not cost the COT a dime and is only on loan for a period of time. The park itself, along with the adjacent Boulevard park, were budgeted as a part of the original Chain of Parks plan for restoration and had nothing to do with the sculpture. That is data that includes fact not conjecture.

Hello,

It seems obvious to me that this city like to spend money on shiny things it can't afford.

Performing Arts Center? Boondoggle I believe, that will take tax money we all pay and spend it on arts only certain people enjoy. I would gladly be proved wrong, but not at my expense.

How about that Challenger Center? Is it bringing in the dollars or am I paying with my taxes? Rumor has it that it makes ends meet with school board money.

Brogan Museum?

How about that borrowed blue sculpture on Gaines Street?

Thanks for all your good work.

Any information on his travel budget compared with others throughout the state? I recall hearing a couple of years ago that he had the largest travel budget of all the mayors in FL

The defense that it will keep corruption low is just audacious. "If you don't pay me more I'll embezzle"? And this guy gets re-elected?

This city desperately needs some oppositional voices. I realize it's a Democratic city, so they should be the majority, but I really think the government would benefit from having two Republicans to at least rabble rouse. This free-rein stuff isn't working.
